A student-based civic organization designed to promote school spirit and leadership. Student Council members are elected in September and serve the entire school year.
Yearbook club members take pictures of all student activities and work with graphics, photography, and design, writing to create the annual middle school yearbook.
Campus ministry is a select group of juniors and seniors who support charitable works and assist in organizing school wide prayer, liturgical services, and retreats.
Each Class functions as a group and may plan fundraising activities, community service projects, dances, etc. The Junior class is in charge of the Prom
Math League is open to all students enrolled in geometry or high math classes. The league meets periodically during the year and attends three competitions at UWSP during the academic year.
National Honors Society is open to qualifying sophomores through seniors who have been invited to apply and who have been accepted by majority vote of a faculty council. NCHS conducts a spring application process.
Newman Ambassadors are a select group of students, grades 10-12, who assist in the recruitment and marketing efforts of the school and system. Students must apply and are interviewed prior to being appointed to this club.
Newman Pep Band is part of the Newman Band Program. As part of their Band grade, students are required to perform at various athletic and school spirit functions, in addition to certain parade performances.
Student Council members are elected by their peers as class representatives. The officers for each class make up the NCHS student Council and function as a student government organization which works to promote student leadership in the operations of the school, and serves as the voice of the students in the school.
Model UN allows students the opportunity to learn the skill of debate while cooperating with others to offer diplomatic solutions to the world's problems. Students attend several conferences throughout the school year.
